Nigeria is the 22nd country to have qualified for the World Cup Brazil on the 16th of November 2013. Nigeria was 1 of the 10 CAF countries to play the continental play-offs. Their opponent was Ethiopia which never played in a World Cup before. The World Cup 2014 Nigeria national team however, crushed their dream by winning the first match with 2-1 and the 2nd match with 2-0. Emmanuel Emenike scored both goals in the first match and both Victor Moses and Victor Obinna scored in the 2nd match. Nigeria qualified since the aggregate score was 1-4, and will play their 5th World Cup in Brazil.
